do i really need the primer for a exterior of a concrete slab patio area ?

they said armorpoxy wood primer but use on concrete . then the renew product for the coating .

not against buying it but its a clean slab no major problems . has weathered finish been down for years . no stuff growing on it . will be pressure washed and scrubbed before coating and let dry good . unless you guys tell me dont .

thanks and have a good day .

All guidelines I have seen say to mask off a line where it would extend past the garage door seam on the floor.

Hi,
We carry a full line of outdoor coatings.

Our Armor Renew resurfacer when used on concrete does not need a primer, it is self priming on concrete.

Thank you.

the guy i talked to on the phone said he recommended 1 gal of this but not 100% required the primer here . https://armorpoxy.com/products/armor-renew-wood-primer/

then said this for 2 coats need 2 pails of 8 gal total . https://armorpoxy.com/products/armor-renew-wood-concrete-resurfacer-4-gal-pail/

i told him it was a orignal pour slab and never coated or ground i can tell . has even weather wear on it . didnt plan a grind or finish prep . just wantto coat it and be done . its a patio slab is all . i am in the north east of the country in upstate new york so we get winters and hot / sunny summers .

my slab is 10ft x 25 ft

8 gals seems high. Coverage is about 80 sq ft/gal/coat. Two coats are required so for 500 sq ft total needed you would need 6-7 gals. The product only comes in 4 gal or 2 gal sizes.

If you do go with 1 x 4 and 1 x 2 make sure to mix them all together prior to coating as different sizes most likely are different batch lots and can have shade variations. Of course this can vary based on porosity, surface texture and color.

Kindly email us below for tech advice and particulars and such as the GJ is not always monitored and we can offer faster service and track things via email strings. Thank you.
