All, exciting news. Armorpoxy is now carrying an amazing new primer called Armor No Prep that allows virtually any epoxy, polyaspartic or urethane (no water baed coatings though) to be applied to virtually any surface with NO MECHANICAL PREP OR ETCHING. Prep is just standard cleaning (obviously the surface needs to be clean and dry), and wipe down with acetone or Iso alcohol we carry.
Use of this primer eliminates grinding, dust, noise and time and is ideal for basements or for locations where mechanical prep equipment is not readily available. We expect this product to be an industry game-changer. The No Prep uses a special nanotechnology molecular bond that is unmatched.
Here is how it works. The product is a one-part product that gets sprayed on the floor with a commerical quality acetone-rated garden type sprayer (we carry these as a convenience item). The sprayer is $100 and can be cleaned out with acetone and reused for any home projects you may have.
The floor gets sprayed to a slight sheen with the No Prep, and then you wait just about 15 minutes for the No Prep to get 'tacky'.
Once it's tacky you get on the floor with our supplied spiked shoes and apply your coating as you would normally. You have a 90 minute time frame from the time it tacks up to complete that area so for large areas just do in sections. Compaitble with any brand epoxy system, not just ours!
The No Prep is so strong that adhesion pull tests show that the concrete will fail before the coating will. The No Prep can be applied to tile, VCT, concrete, metal, etc. We have been testing the product for about a year with 100% results and no failures.
And the best thing about the No Prep is that it costs under 50 cents/sq ft!
