The spec sheet says the epoxy wants to be stored in 60-90 deg, or it could crystallize. I had it in a semi-climate controlled shop for some time. Its since been moved in to the house, but I'm wondering whether I should be worried. I don't want to install it all then have an issue. Will I be able to visually tell when I open it whether it has crystallized or if there are going to be any issues? How sensitive is the temp really (and should I be concerned)?

Yes you can spot it, and even if it did, it is easily remedied by sitting the part a, in a hot pan of water and stirring until smooth again.

Full crystallization would look like a brick inside the bucket, partial would be sandy looking Epoxy.

Again, not going to end the party.

Crystallized epoxy is very noticeable. The part A would be thick, lumpy, and not 'look right'.

It can be brought back to life by warming it up and dissolving the crystals.

It doesn't sound though like you will have any issue since it was climate controlled.

Thanks all. Sounds like I should be able to tell. If I do have some crystallization, warming and stirring should be able to bring it back to where it is totally clear?

Correct. If in doubt, take small amounts of the A and B and mix together and test somehwere. Just make sure to use the proper mix ratio, say 2:1 and mix well.

Remember with epoxies you can always mix as much as you want at a time as long as you hold the mix ratios. Epoxy doesn't know how much is being mixed, just that it is being mixed correctly.

One last question...its been in my house since the winter and getting ready to reapply. As I looked at the paperwork, I realized I may be a month or so over the year shelf life (didn't realize it). How critical is that (should I be concerned)?

Going to redo this floor for the 2dn time, and I just want to be certain everything is correct.

It should be fine...if there is something wrong with it you would usually notice it while mixing.

OK...I opened up the Part A. Is this the sandy look that was being described? Is this where I need to put it in a pan of hot water and stir? It's all liquid (nothing is a block), but just wanted to verify. Will be going down this weeknd (assuming all is well)!!

Honestly it's hard to tell from the pic. The product should be like a thickish liquid with no 'sandy' texture or any particles.

Perhaps pour it through a disposable cone strainer to check fir anything. If you grind anyhing please contact us directly, no GJ as we don't regularly monitor.

Will call you in the morning. I don't think there are any particles (sandy is not the right description), its more just a little bit cloudy.
