Unfortunately pics if floor usually don't illustrate the actual look as lighting, exposure, etc an really affect the pictures. We have seen gray floors look blue, blue look gray, beige look yellow, etc.
Our suggestion is pick colors you like and don't second guess it. Also remember that looking at small chips and flecks in your hand or a foot away looks very different when you are standing on a large section with your eyes 5-6 feet above.
We haven't seen anything that ever looked 'bad' as the floors always look amazing considering how they looked prior to coaring!
I totally agree. Color for one is very subjective and looks different based on other variables. One big variable people overlook is the color of their garage walls and how light reflects off it. Also they color temperature of your lighting plays a big part. I always hate going into HD and looking at 3" samples of colors in their fluorescent lighting when picking paints for the inside of my home. My wife picked a yellowish color once and I painted my hall, looked like I was in a highlighter marker. I had to pick a new color fast.
Generally grey seems to be the most popular color and works well complimenting most other colors. I originally wanted a blue floor, cause the pics I saw online looked cool. And my card is a deep metallic blue. So I thought that would compliment it well. And it would. But I expect to have my garage longer than my car. If my next car is green or red, I think the colors will clash with the floor or have too much contrast against each other. Also, how much broadcast are you doing? I have been preparing my garage for the past week and plan to grind it tomorrow. I will be doing a full broadcast of white, grey, and black, 1/8" flecks. I saw it in my inlaws garage and it looks awesome. I was on the fence of white/blue/black, but again, I was afraid of my next cars color contrast. So I chose the black fleck over blue. But I think the blue would have been a nice mix. It is the most popular combo Im told. In anycase. pick a color epoxy, and fleck you can live with for 20 years as well as will work with the wall colors.
Btw, I also picked ArmorPoxy and will post pics once i'm done. I need to pick up the flecks from them this week. Hopefully its in by Fri, as I plan to epoxy Sat morning.
