They appear to be very similar if not the same. Very surprised that craftsman has the pinless swivels, I figured they would be pin-type.

Is Armstrong USA made?
Looking to get a set of metric 3/8in swivel(universals) due to breaking the standard swivel adaptors more than I want.

They are idenical and probably very very close to matco also. I have normal armstrong socket that are same as craftsman. I have also seen in years past, tools listed as armstrong in the craftsman catalog to listed as craftsman the following year. I would guess without looking that armstrong has a wider range of socket sizes as craftsman tends to somewhat limited.

They are both USA made. I have the craftsman sets and filled in the sizes not offered with Armstrong. They are both awesome but the Armstrongs are a little deeper than the Cmans.

Good to know, I was going to break the bank with snap-on until I found out they're the pin-type. Matco also wants way too much for there SE.. The ADV are better priced but still pinned

armstrong, matco and craftsman are all the same

They arnt exactly the same. The Matco have a smaller body and the craftsman are a bit more shallow than the other 2. I got my Craftsman with the 130pc impact set for $500. If I was going to pay full price id get Armstrong.

can you get the c-mans individual?

Yes from the open stock catalog.

There are differences between Armstrong/Craftsman/Matco depending on vintage. The early craftsman versions had taller bases. Matco actually makes 3 different depths of impact swivel sockets. I believe the current production I've seen are now the same across the board aside from markings and Matco offering a much wider selection of sizes.

Used on ebay is the way to go.
