I was fortunate enough to have a service call near carlisle PA yesterday so we swung by the truck show to check out the vendors at the end of the day. Alot of guys selling older truck brand stuff for new prices and alot of junk, but i found a set of slugging wrenches in a pile of junk and wore the guy down from $10 to $3 apiece. Yes i know thats such a ******** lowball offer, but the guy was an ******* and wanted to clear out and go home so he took it. $21 for 7 wrenches, mostly armstrong, with a williams and a proto thrown in. That guy didnt even know what they were used for lol
Question is, a few of these are some oddball (to me) sizes so I was wondering if anybody had a clue as to what theyd be used to work on. The 1 5/16 and 1 1/2 can definitley come in handy with truck lug nuts in a situation where i dont have air. 1 1/4 I could prolly use eventually, but 2 15/16? never used that one ever before in a socket or a wrench.
