Armstrong Clearance?

So, it seems Apex/Armstrong didn't sell all of their inventory to Cripe.

They're advertising an "Overstock" blowout on their website:

Dunno how good the deals actually are, but figured I'd clue ya'll in.

Seems to all be 30% off their full list price. Not the greatest deal.

Cripe has been posting a lot of Armstrong stuff but, i must be cheap because their prices seem kind of high to me.

I've reconsidered Cripe Armstrong pricing after scrolling through over 20 pages of the Armstrong "clearance" pricing and Cripe has some down right bargains compare to Armstrong's sale.

Armstrong's clearance price on a 3/8 drive standard MAXX ratchet is $52.69 I guess they think since they're no longer made, they must be worth more

What, you don't see the value in a $115 6" C-Clamp from a dead brand?

I'm with ya, all the new Armstrong stuff on Cripe is tempting, but the prices kill any sort of impulse buying, which is a big part of what Cripe offers.

I wouldn't be surprised if Armstrong is still asking too much to even unload their stock to Cripe, hence the slow rollout of their products and not the boatloads of stuff we were expecting to see there.

The Armstrong C-Clamps are great. I bought them from Sears "back in the day" when they were on sale, could stack coupon codes, use surprise points, etc. And got several for around 10 to 15 bucks each out of pocket.

Granted, no way they worth the retail price. But it's worth keeping an eye on them, if they drop below about 20 bucks a piece, then they are a great deal.

The quality of them almost reminds me of a high quality vise. The quality of the forged C and the fit and finish of the screw on these are amazing. Night and Day difference between Harbor Freight C-Clamps or even Craftsman C-Clamps.

I've been on a C-clamp hunt myself, and the Armstrong are the best I've seen, even better than Wright or Williams (which I think have the same OEM). I've been able to score very good deals on all of them by watching Amazon price drops.
