Pretty sure they are not longer made in USA. I have a few pair and they are not usa made

I would bet they are imported. I can't think of any company that makes locking pliers in the US anymore.

But you can find NOS examples of USA made locking pliers. Harry Epstein has some.

If you want good locking pliers, check out Grip-On. Made in Spain. They're the OEM for Snap-On, Proto and probably others.

For what it's worth, Cripes Distributing sells USA-made Proto locking pliers.

Cripes is a tool liquidator. That means they buy overstock and excess when companies like Sears, HD and Lowes decide to do "resets" of their tool lines and Cripes buys the old stock for pennies on the dollar.

Cripes is not a good barometer of what is still be made here in the USA as what stock they may have, can be many years old.

correct, however as stated, cripes is a clearing house, and not a 'new' tool seller.

as such, the proto ones may not still be made in the US.
