Especially the F-91 design. Bought one from this board, and looove the look and feel.

I'd also really like to get my hands on an Armstrong display board, if they ever made any. You know, with outlines for all the different tools that a dealer would have hanging on display.

I'll bring this to the top from time to time to keep it fresh.

Hey, take a number Bull, I don't own any Armstrong ratchets...yet! :)

I'm actually trying not to buy any more ratchets for a while. I'm trying to kick the habit, if you will. When I signed up on this board I didn't have a single Snap-on ratchet, and now I have 3.

Yeah, it is surprising addicted. Like you, this board whetted an appetite I didn't know I had!

I now own one Snap-On, a new F80. I think it actually might be too nice for me. I caught myself thinking I'd not use it, just keep it safe in the toolbox since the chrome is so nice. Then I slapped myself because I am NOT that guy. Might trade it for some Armstrongs or something.

Yep. $16+shipping? I think it should be under 13oz for first class.

Ok, let me get back to you. I am watching two of those right now (not industrial finish) and hope to snag them for about $15 shipped, each.

What condition is yours in? What is the model number?

I bought mine from Rickster, IIRC.
It looks just like the industrial one he has in the pict.

Those Armstrong F- series ratchets with the smallish heads, and the earlier pear heads that are virtually identical to (and will interchange guts with) Proto pear heads are really sweet, smooth, and quiet. I have one of the newer 1/2" drive 12-903's as well, and while it is a horse of a ratchet with a very solid feel to the action, it is a completely different feel. Not a bad feel to it, but a totally different feel to the action. Or maybe since mine is still a "new" ratchet, it just hasn't had a chance to lighten up under use.

It is definitely a heavy duty industrial ratchet. When you grab the handle, you'll know what I'm talking about. :)

I'll post up some pictures of mine tonight in the FS section. I'd like to sell it. Need to thin the herd a bit. Unfortunately I don't use it much.

Rick- Bull has first pick of those, but I might be interested in the long 1/2" drive if he isn't. PM on it's way...

I toyed with the same idea last night till reason stepped in and said no. I already have three 1/2" longhandles as it is, enough is enough. :(

Obsessed minds think alike - then I pulled out the just-arrived Snappy S713A I snagged out of the 'bay, and the thirst for yet another ratchet was (momentarily) quenched.

Thanks Rick! I'll have to let one of these other guys buy that long handle 1/2". It's more than I can afford after I went pawn shopping yesterday...
