Armstrong sockets

Guys,

Do you all think that the armstrong brand sockets are basically the same thing as the crafty brand? They both have the same double detents in the drive square and look to be oddly the same.

I picked up a couple of armstrong sockets to fill some pegs in some lowes socket trays (kinda like hansons) that crafty doesn't offer. Since they are both danaher products it makes me wonder

A few posts on here have directly compared them. Look very similar to me. The stamping in the sockets did look crisper on the Armstrong metrics. I notice on my Cman metrics the stamping is very light. The SAE is fairly deep.

A decent alternative if/when Cman outsources their socket production, I really like the laser etching of the Danaher products. SK has very pretty chrome but they don't laser etch.

They are the same, at least they were when the Chicago plant was still open, I know a guy that worked there and that's what he told me, same steel, same chrome, same line, different stampings (plus they look identical).
