As some of you know we are in the process of erecting an Armstrong metal building in California. We soon will be at the point of installing the interior wall pieces between the shop and home that were provided by Armstrong. The issue is there were no drawings included in the package for the interior wall. The pics below show what was included with an estimate of maybe 50 pieces of each. I initially thought that they would provide 2X4 metal studs but instead have these pieces that look as if they will attach directly to the existing beams and Z purlins.

I do see in the construction drawings where this wall was engineered for the additional weight of the components and drywall so I know we are good to go on that end of things.

I’m sure it’s running through everyone who reads this why I don’t JUST go to Armstrong and ask the question. At this point that bridge has been burnt and is not an option and we had some disagreements with some missing components and the lack of quality in their primer process of the 60+ beams.2CA894C4-0393-4881-8510-CEA1F66D698C.jpeg3DCA32C3-2FB1-4958-9AA0-409FB96B39D9.jpeg42E66677-0AEC-4B76-AA8C-D502B2084644.jpeg

Can't explain those parts, but (a) cool building! and (b) was there a reason why you chose tapered columns but untapered rafters?

Tapered is slightly cheaper but not much. A lot of people go with untapered columns so they can build a wall just inside the edge of the columns (and not have the wall sloping inward). I've never heard any justification for untapered rafters, though. Any particular reason why you chose them?
