Went to the pawnshop, and saw this Armstrong box. Checked it out, didn't really need it. I bought it anyway. I guess I am addicted. :D

The set had two breaker bars, ratchet, 4 extensions, 1/2 to 3/8 adapter, lots of standard stuff in deep and shallow. Also had metric stuff up through 36 mm. Standard was through 1&1/4. BTW, this is all 1/2 drive stuff.

What's it worth?

I want to know if the pawn shop boned me or not.

Well a new 25 piece 1/2 drive set is about 300 or so bucks, so im guessing about 150-200 would be a good used price for what you have in the pic.

BTW, i freaking love the way their ratchets look. Next on my list!

Cool Cool...There are 64 pieces in all, not including the box or socket rails and organizers. I gave 160 out the door, so I don't feel too bad then.

The thing with Armstrong, I like the those ratchets. The breaker bars as pretty as they are, have the same drive end as a craftsman. The sockets and extensions are identical to craftsman sockets. I have a 1/4" set, the ratchet is the only worth anything. I hate to say it, $50 is my top price on that set.

I think that's a pretty fair price.

I just got the 3/8 ratchet last week and traded it less than 5 mins later because it needed a rebuild and I got a tool a friend had been looking for in exchange.

A few days later I bought the 1/2 ratchet and breaker bar in a big lot of tools and I have traded and sold a lot of the rest of them (mostly craftsman stuff I have tons of) and I am keeping the breaker bar and ratchet. I like them better than the Snapon ones they will replacing.
