I have a 1/2 drive deep well sockets from Armstrong and Williams that look very similar. The Armstrong is an older model and Williams was bought this year. They both have 2 bottom bands like Williams, also both have the same shallow broaching , I have some other Armstrong deep Wells that are broached all the way down just like my craftsman sockets. Interesting that the Armstrong and Williams share the same banding on the bottom. I could not find any references where they were owned by the same company. What are your thoughts?

As far as I know they never were. Williams was its' own company until it became a division of Snap-on as it is now. It looks like your newer Williams socket has rounded off corner engagement on the 12pt. The Armstrong does not, so the Armstrong socket is likely at least 20 years old. Off-corner socket engagement has been pretty much the standard on sockets for quite a while now.
