I have the armstrongs in long industrial finish. They are awesome wrenches, unfortunately mine don't have the flank drive plus feature

If you've used the full polished craftsman professional series wrenches after 1998 up until the recent move to the PRC, you've used an Armstrong wrench. They were only the long style though. I am not sdvocating buying the extra long wrench set from sears though. Sears' pricing on non craftsman tools is simply rediculous. Shop around for a better deal.
Armstrong wrenches are nicely finished, fit well, and get the job done for many years.

I have a set of harbor freight extra long wrenches. I like using them for front end work, removing tie rods, track bars etc. The extra length helps out alot.

Unfortunately I bent a wrench and have more projects coming up. Time for something better. However for the 10 dollars I spent on the set I'm not complaining

Armstrong products are far superior to HF...and I would recommend shopping around on Ebay, Tooltopia, or other internet sources for a better deal than from Sears.

truck sets go for less on ebay. I've used them all and in my opinion Matco makes the best followed by Snap-On. If its leverage you're after and you can spare the space then get a twisted beam wrench [X-Beam/Crossforce] or a long double box.

i bought those a few years ago, for a set that i could abuse and not worry about. they have held up suprisingly well, i think i paid 11 bucks per set.

they are not great, finish is fugly, but they are tight, they measure out well. i bent one, cant remember which size, but i was shocked at took what it did before bending.

i have a few armstrong combos. great wrenches. much better than the RPs i have. look for a deal

I like mine a lot. I probably paid $250 less than what sears is asking. I bought mine on Ebay.

Have you cranked hard on the matco wrenches?? I don't have any matco tools so I can't fairly rate them. I have some snap on stuff and they are good tools

I'm a bit weary buying tool truck brands after being burned by snap on (Don't want to have that discussion again)

I do have some of the craftsman crossforce wrenches (USA) but that set stops a 3/4 inch...IIRC they are now made overseas so that's out of the picture.

Oh, I agree the HF wrenches are not in the same league.

My wife works for Sears so by the time I apply the available discounts, it's about what I can get the set via mail order.

I might also check out my local Napa, as they carry armstrong tools and will send it off if it needs to be warranteed. Haven't had to do that as of yet with the armstrong tools that I have.

I have some matco wrenches that are identical to the armstrong wrenches I have. I've used both of their double box with one ratcheting end for years in a pro setting. I haven't had one lock up at all. I can't say the same for gearwrench. I also haven't had the chrome fall off of any of the armstrong wrenches either.
