Any IR/ARO techs out there?:bowdown:I have a 1 ton ARO pneumatic hoist (model 7775D)setup in my garage. The lift works great with pull chain control on the lever and the pendant connections capped. If I hook up the pendant control that came with it nothing works...just spits air.:headscrat Everything is complete and hooked up correctly I think.Thoughts from someone who has worked on these things:D

Since the pendant is pneumatic, if the air leaks out of it, it's not making it back to the hoist to control the valve.

The pendant is just a couple spool valves, which use o-rings to seal. Chances are one or more of the o-rings is leaking.

You should be able to find a manual at www.irtechpubs.com.
Even if you don't find your specific model number, they're all very similar in construction.

Well, my air hoist is a Yale, and not an ARO, but it appears to work in much the same way.
The pendant sends air to a pair of pistons that push that rocking lever in the same motion as you get from the pull chain. When you push up or down, see if the piston is rocking that lever enough, or is something is interfering with the lever's motion.

Make sure your speed adjustment screws are adjusted correctly. If not check the pneumatic cans. Air will release from the pendant during operation.
