Arris SB6183 Refurb Cable Modem - $44.19

I know this isn't a tool deal but some of us may need a new cable modem. This is one of the higher end faster Arris, formerly Motorola, cable modems. It is capable of even the fastest speeds out there, so if your cable company says you need to upgrade this is a good option. Also, if you are worried about a refurb, a two year warranty is only $4.

For those that don't know, Arris is the name of the company that now makes the SurfBoard formerly made by Motorola.

Luckily when I bought this house few years ago, I went shopping for cable modem on CL as COX is same technology nationwide. Got better model Motorola SurfBoard that had DOCSIS 3.0 which was fastest at the time.

Just so happens I paid $44 for that modem on CL and guy from AZ had switched to AT&T U-Verse so he just wanted to get rid of "old" COX modem. It was really virtually brand new as only 6 mths old - - - - - that cable modem has worked perfectly for me now about 4 years.

With lots of customers leaving CableCo's to DISH/DirectTV/U-Verse there should still be lots of deals on modems out on CL.
