Arrow marked tools

Dan,
One informed hunch I have would be Arrow Tools Company, Buffalo, NY. Although their brand looked more like this... >>>-ARROW-->, I can see them playing with multiple brands, and the brand on those punches, with the depiction of an arrow behind the word "TOOLS", could easily be interpreted as Arrow Tools. If you want to see some pics, I had a very nice adjustable crescent type wrench (now traded to another GJ member) with their name and brand stamped on it, shown here on GJ last year, linked here.

Thanks PLN-could be that you are more familar with the older stuff than me! I was sort of leaning to the Native American side-like maybe Blackhawk as a arrow might have come into play? Never seen the example, or assocation with the Williams or Arrow tools-will do some more research! Cranky

Not that I am aware of. Blackhawk used an Indian head profile in various styles through the years, initially on the sockets themselves, and later as a logo on labels and decals, but I don't believe they used an arrow. I could be wrong.

You are probably right about Blackhawk-I was thinking of the association of BH
being NAI and arrows like in quivers as nuggets as in sockets!
On a side note the President of Arrow tool was also associated with Pierce Arrow of the auto world-thinking I may have a wrench with that name and a arrow on it or Pierce over the arrow desigination-will have

Back to the originals--found the Pierce arrow wrench and took pictures--the reverse side looks to have been made by Fairmount Tools? Anyway thats what my tired eyes see in the pic.--gets more confusing as we progress.
Did the DBE offset have any other marks/I.D. on the reverse? Maybe a LOT of mfgr's used some type of "ARROW" as thier mark???
