I know this is not entirely garage journal specific but we have artillery fungus in the mulch in front of our townhouse. We have some of the lovely dots that are caused by the fungus. Removing them from the house will require repainting. Now my questions is, how the heck do I get rid of it out of the soil. Obviously, I will have to remove the mulch. Is there anyway to kill it in the soil such as adding vinegar (without of course killing the plants). My plan would be to add landscape fabric to cover out the soil and then at the mulch perhaps on top of a layer of gravel. But before I go through that I would appreciate any and all insights.

I'm a power washing contractor, and I usually tell people it's not worth the effort to remove it. On vinyl, you can use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on each individual spot, and still possible leave a shadow.
