After my father inlaw passed away, we were cleaning out his house and we came across this old Ashland bench grinder.

One of the guards was busted in half and some parts were missing.

I also discovered the armature was bent and the switch was busted.

I debated tossing it out but decided to repair it.

I made a repair piece to draw the two broken pieces together out of some scrap aluminum.

One of the tool rests was missing so I replicated it from the existing one.

New stones, a switch and a new cord.

Thing works great, whenever I sharpen a drill I will think of the old guy.
