I have three overhead garage doors. My problem is I got those small side gaps on the bottom that the critters use as a high way. Especially those pesky Asian Beatles. Trying to work a solution but am wondering if other members have had this issue and what solutions worked for them. Sprayed Tempo last year but no real effect.

I hate those things!

Thanks a bunch.

I considered that stuff last year. Thanks, I will give it a try. I need to fix those gaps though. I could use some sort of foam but im wondering if a better solution\ product is out there.

1. Seal the gaps. If they can't get in, they can't get in.
2. Chemical barrier. The few that do get in will die.
3. Physical barrier. I recommend diatomaceous earth (DE).
4. Keep your shop clean. A really, really clean shop with nothing on the floor is not appealing to insects.

Asian lady beetles will come in no matter if its clean or dirty. They are looking for a warm place to winter after the soybeans are harvested.

I was pretty successful (for the most part) last year with the other critters, just those damn Asian Beatles. They are way out of control. I’m going to give more of an effort this year though. Seal up the gaps and do the barrier idea like Ninja talked about.

Easy. I use the thin cardboard style mouse glue traps. Small strip each side of the overhead doors. Replace about once a month. Spiders, crickets, ants, centipedes,....you'd be surprised what they catch.
