Asphalt sealer on concrete?

Like the title says, anyone ever use asphalt sealer on their concrete driveway? Would it even work? Mine is pretty old. A few "pot holes". Most is not bad for the age. I really like having the concrete with motorcycles. But it does need some attention. A new drive is out of the question. I was wondering about patching the holes and sealing it all with the asphalt sealer. I hoping I guess that this would help protect it better and make it last a little longer. Any thoughts on this?

you'll be throwing good money after bad, buy a concrete patch to temporary patch the concrete.

Blacktop sealer is intended to seal blacktop that has become porous and needs its surface oils refreshed. Definitely the wrong product for concrete. I would paint it before I would use blacktop sealer.

Won't last at all...the PO of my house used blacktop sealer on the concrete apron in front of the garage, year after year. Now, years later it's come up in some places and stuck in others. Looks like ****.

Those are the answers I wanted. I had no idea if it would work. Thanks.

OK, paint it with what? A clear sealer of some kind? Epoxy? I really don't know.

I would patch it, use a concrete stain and then seal it. The stain penetrates into the concrete and when sealed is much better that a coat of paint imho. The stains come in several colors, too. A big box or paint store would carry everything you would need for the job.

When I bought my house, the concrete driveway had been coated with blacktop dressing. What a mess. It has taken me years to get this stuff to wear off. It sure wasn't just coming off with a hose.

I've always wanted to use a thin coat concrete repair that is suppose to be self leveling to cover it all. If anyone has any experience with this product, could you give us a review or your thoughts on it. Thanks

Fix the wholes with concrete, then they make a concrete product with out aggregate to overcoat everything with. I don't remember the name, but it's a skim coat. You have to properly prepare everything, but it works well and makes it look like an entirely new slab.
