Assistance about a snap-on part number, please?

I have an excellent roto head 3/8, green hard plastic kinda long handled ratchet and I would like to buy another 1/4 to match... Can someone please give me the part number for this 1/4 ratchet?

Also the green adjustable pliers set? I think this is bluepoint and comes in a roll? They look like vice grips in a tool roll with green?

Have you checked ebay? Sometimes if you just punch in "green snap on ratchet" or something alike, you may find what you are looking for. I also use "snapon" or "snap-on" as everyone spells it differently. So if you just search for snap on, you wont see other listings where peopled spelled it snapon, snap-on etc. Just a tip.

As far as the part number goes, I know there are some older SO literature on collectingsnapon.com Maybe you will find it there? Or someone with a later book could look it up. I only have the newest book which has all the dual 80 stuff. Also are you looking for the dual 80 version or the older version?

I believe the ratchet you are looking for is a THNFD72 if you are talking about a solid green hard handle.

I just found this picture of the locking pliers from an old Ebay listing. Are these Blue-Point green rebranded Grip-Ons what you are talking about? In the picture it looks like the part number written under the Blue-Point logo is VGP-105G.

I don't think they make the green handled locking pliers anymore, so your rep probably won't be able to get them for you. I think all they sell now are 4pc plier sets as well. If you can afford it you might want to think about getting the SnapOn branded LP404 locking plier set instead of the BSGLP404 set you mentioned. The COO of your set is China. The LP404 set is only about $20 more and they are the same high-quality Grip-On rebrand pliers (made in Spain) that are in the green set I pictured in my previous post. You get much better pliers for your money with the LP404 set.

If you want the exact same set as the green one with all 5 pliers in it instead of just 4, you will need to get them as Grip-On brand instead of SnapOn or Blue-Point rebrands of Grip-On pliers. One of the best prices for the complete 5pc set is here.

In this particular instance there is. The BluePoint pliers that you linked to are basically the same as a pair of China made Irwin Vise-Grips that you would get for $10-15 each at Home Depot. The Grip-On and Grip-On rebrand pliers are very nice and will last many years of daily use. The metal frames are much thicker, the rivets are larger and solid, and the jaw teeth are heat treated better so they will hold up much better over time. The Grip-On pliers also have the much more intuitive clamp release mechanism where the release lever extends out beyond the clamp handle so you just press it towards the main plier body to release the clamp instead of having to reach in and push the small lever away from the main plier body like you have to do with older style vise grips and the current model China Blue-Points.

So he said they no longer make it and can't cross ref the part number.

So I'll decide between the Bp set or the so set later after work. I want to buy from so because I have the half off discount and no problem warranty.

But I'm getting the quarter inch roto for sure. The 3/8 version is the best ratchet I've ever used. Totally worth the price tag.

Too bad the so LP set doesn't come in soft grip and colored.

If u are looking for the 4 piece green adjustable pliers eBay is about your only source and they go for crazy cash.they were made years ago when the current soft grip handles came out and are very hard to come by these days
