Hi Guys,

im wondering are there any suggestions out there for making a floor to wall joint more asthetically appealing while also taking away the problem of it being a dust trap.
i plan to epoxy coat the floor and up to the top of the first block, so id like to put a nice transition from the floor to the wall. i dont want anything to big and graduatedlike its a skateboard ramp, just something to take up the joint, maybe and inch to 2 radius.

initially i had thought of mortar, but i dont think id ever get a uniform finish. then i though builders caulk? smoothed out with the back of a spoon etc. would this be ok under epoxy?

any other suggestiions? cheers!

Grind out unevenness and use sikaflexfor joint. Not self leveling. Cut a piece of plastic at 45 or whatever radius you want and use that for template. The bondo levelers work well.

Or grind and stick on the plastic roll base molding like in some commercial buildings.

Dap 3.0 would be a good coatable filler for this but would not advise trying to make a radius cove with it. Any type of cove would need to be a sand-filled resin for strength and mold-ability.

thanks for the suggestions - I was thinking about the wall base trim, but it works out really expensive.

@machsnell - could you possibly link to the sikaflex you are referring to please, there are millions of types after aquick search. many thanks !

Chip concrete splatter off and glue this on with liquid nails.
