Astro Pneumatic Light Has Gone Dim

One of the sides has gone dim. It's the side that you would normally use if you had it set for one side. So what I've done is put black tape on the side that's dim and then press the button for lighting up both sides. It's not a terrible inconvenience, but it's going to decrease the run time quite a bit. I started this thread to find out if anyone else has had the same problem. Looking at my Amazon purchase history, it looks like I bought the light on December 22, 2021.

Mine is fine so far, but doesn’t get a ton of use, only when traveling, or power goes out, and then I do run it hard.

The light has a dimming function! I had no idea! Somehow I made it go dim on one side. It's back to bright now.

Oops, yeah. Guess I should have remembered that, one of the things I think is fantastic is that it dims, and come back on where you left it, not at full on again.

At least you found it before fifteen people posted how much all Astro was junk and they only use S-O lights because they are all US made tools lol

To get it to dim, you have to hold the mode button and it will slowly cycle dim-bright-dim-bright. When it hits max brightness (or dimness), it will briefly flash.

But this kind of nonsense is why I hate "one button" interfaces. I love my Astro 52SL, but the interface stinks. There's a dedicated button to turn on both side lights, which I hardly use, and that's the only thing the button does. The main button handles everything from selecting which light is on to dimming - it's stupid.

Give me three buttons. One mode/power switch, and then two buttons for bright/dim.

I'm the opposite, i'd rather have 1 button. Less things to accidently hit, or press, or go bad. I'd love mine to double press to turn on both sides. One switch
It remembers your dimming setting each time you turn it on, so I dont find myself spending much time playing with the thing as is.
