The 73800 is a 3/8 and 1/2" flex ratchet, but is only 10-11" OAL. So that would work with the 1/2" nanos. Go back to #1708 or so to see where I asked (got numbers messed up) and Astro explained their current options.

Just got my first nano socket set, the 94410T Torx set, and have been pretty impressed so far. Definitely want to grab some more sets (19pc 3/8 drive, eTorx, Hex and the new handle).

Definitely would have liked the external hex on the bit sockets (Torx & Hex) so I could pair them with the ratchet handle.

Also would ideally like one smaller size on each rail - T20 and 5mm are both pretty common. The T20 I can get away with L keys but I'm going to have to keep a mismatched 3/8 drive 5mm hex bit in my toolbox which just annoys the organizer in me.

@Astro_Pneumatic_Tools is it just a case that you can't guarantee impact use on a bit socket that small? My 1/2 drive impact set from Tekton already goes down to 6mm so I'm not gaining a size with the 94411M (although I'm hesitant to ever impact that bit).

I just wanted to put in a good word on the Nano impact sockets. Liked the 1/2" metric set so much I bought the 3/8" also. When you combine these with #78300 that these sockets will clip into, it's a game changer for tight access. I don't know of any shorter height socket setup. The socket rails they ship with are downright **** too.
This allows me to use a ratcheting socket where formerly I would have had to use a box end wrench with a lot less throw. Good job, Astro.

I just picked up a 1828 impact and so far I really like it. I doubt I'll use my Milwaukee Stubby if I'm in the shop. Is that Nano socket kit for the larger size 3/8 impact sockets? I have the up to 3/4 and 19mm sets already so I just want to add the sockets I don't have.

We do, 78319UPD. We made it specifically for guys that want to update. The longer rail to hold everything, plus the few sizes you're missing.
It's like a customer service item though, so have to call or email.

I love the Astro Nano sockets I have in 3/8 drive Met/SAE/Torx. I just got the Torx recently and they are great, even include the T-27 size that I use a bit. Combined with the Nano impact or my Facom nano impact its such a small light effective setup. I want to get the Nano ratcheting wrench but its like $80 here in Auzzie. But seriously the sockets surpassed my expectations both in design, finish and quality for the price.

I was tepid about the long handle, wasn't sure I'd use it. So when it arrived I put it in my cart to see how it did.

Micro-USB is inherently not all that great. If the female USB slot is damaged, it would need a re-soldered on through board style replacement. We dont carry USB board parts because our insurance would drop us if they found out we were having users do repairs to rechargeable tools. I can send you a 72SL and encourage you to switch to that, it and its USB-C is lightyears improved.

78319 is not out of stock or getting discontinued, we have a fair amount and we're adding to our nano socket line not cutting from it. Wherever you're buying from just didn't order enough and ran out before the next truck load showed up.

Mid length like or similar to the "standard" length snap on and others sell in 1/2 drive would put Astro as a stand out in the market.

There are a good amount of deep impact swivels from Snap-on, Proto, Grey Pneumatic, etc, but not as many semi deep options. My vote is for mid-length.

Chris really goes above and beyond here on GJ and that's why a bunch of us patronize Astro no doubt.

Something soldered to a PCB is a bit of a stretch to be labeled as a common tool's repair part, but nevertheless it's literally the exact and only reason we can't sell or ship something like that.

We have liability coverage on the tool, should someone burn something down or something they are covered. That goes out the window when you start doing some customer supplied soldering projects on rechargeable tools.
But if I'm completely off the mark and brands like Milwaukee and Ingersoll-Rand are shipping people out capacitors and board components for home repairs I would be interested to learn that.

I think you could also get a generic on Amazon or DigiKey or something for a buck if your hell bent on fixing it.

It's trying to solder those little dang legs on the Micro USB that do me in every time I think about something like this. Can't work under a microscope and keep my hands steady enough to hit the target with a soldering iron.

Is there a "master" set of 3/8 impact sockets similar to Gearwrench 84916N? I can't find anything in a case like that from the Astro store. Closest thing I see on the site is the NLA 94418H.

Looks like total length would only grow about 10-11mm on a mid-length forging mold in this 3/8" drive example.
The hex broach would be around the same depth as current, but the round throat (C) would grow obviously. I know some people have opinions on that one way vs another.

Any idea when the 1895 1/2" Thor G2 will be available online? Don't really see much except a couple of eBay sellers selling it for $200 more or less. Dieing to get my hand on it and hopefully at a reasonable price.

Also another thing, I just bought the 1/4 and 3/8 long-body nano ratchets. Love the size. Both ratchets but especially the 3/8 seem to have quite a rough ratcheting mechanism. The 3/8 locks up pretty easily on me. I took the 3/8 apart and took note that it was quite dry in there. As I went to put the ratchet back together, I realized I lost one of those really small springs that go into the switch lever (1 of the 2 smaller springs, not the longer one). Can you send some replacement springs and pins for both ratchets? I ask for extras for both, because next time I go to open either one up to clean and lube, I'm sure I'll lose another one of those tiny springs and small pin-type things.

By the way, bought the 19pc 3/8 metric nano sockets and long reach 17mm flex head ratchet wrench. Love the nano socket system. Currently waiting for the 10 pc 3/8 SAE set to come in. Hoping to see a long reach 22mm ratchet for the 1/2 drives and a 1/2 metric set that goes beyond 24mm. The 1/2 SAE set that goes to 1" works for me but maybe up to 1 1/4" or even 1 1/2" would be cool to see, however. Would buy both sets in a heartbeat. But as of now, the 1/2 drive sets don't make too much sense to me.
