The wrench and the sockets for the wrench were on display. The sockets go up to 32mm which doesn't do much for me as my Toyota only goes up to 24mm and the 3/8" setup includes that. Could be of interest to truck guys though.

Are you referring to a “new” set of 1/2” drive Nano sockets? The current set (78215) goes up to 24mm. The drive hex is 7/8”.

Is the set you’re referring to just extending the current ones to larger sizes?

So now there are two 1/2” drive Nano sets and two different ratcheting wrenches to accompany them? Big and Bigger?
There are actually three 1/2 drive nano socket sets.
78211 SAE 3/8-1 inch
78215 metric 10-24 mm
78214 metric 17-30 mm

I only know of one 18 inch long flex ratchet with the 22mm ratcheting flex head. 78218

Long flex head ratchet wrench for 1/4” Nanos. Is this new or have I been overlooking it somehow?

The 78345 has been around for a little while now, but was on backorder for some type.

Here it is at the bottom:

I'd be interested in knowing if, and how much, shorter a 1/4" nano socket and accompanying ratchet wrench are than a typical ratchet and socket. Is there anybody with those items and some time on their hands that could post a picture?

I'd really like to get the 1/4" setup; just need to make sure it's worth the spend.

All three ratchets are snap on, 1/4 drive. All the astro nano sockets are the same height, be it 10mm or 15mm.

Left to right - nano on nano ratchet/wrench/handle, koken Zeal, astro nano, Williams USA. What's impressive is the nano sockets are nearly as short at Zeal from Koken, but they can then be made even slimmer with the wrench/handle thing attachment.

right now on the jungle...
78319 metric sockets 56
78310 sae sockets 31
78318 ratchet 40
Thanks for confirming. I couldn't find a price all together - I guess they "made" this kit by bundling stuff at MSRP, as mentioned above.

They're pretty tempting, but I'm not sure the use case that a ratcheting wrench wouldn't do.

Is that a pretty good price on the master nano set?

I think what you save at JDTCO is shipping & sales tax. JDTCO might have stuff that other vendors don't at times.
The problem with trying to use a regular ratcheting wrench with the nano socket's hex base is the socket will fall out depending on the angle you're working at. I prefer to avoid that and use the nano ratcheting wrench with its spring retainer.

Sorry, I meant a regular ratcheting wrench in lieu of the nano socket and its ratcheting wrench.

The Astro 78218 1/2" 22mm nano socket compatible flex head ratcheting wrench has been released and is available for purchase on Amazon now. It ships in late December or early January.

Chris, is this timeframe still accurate for the 1/2" drive nano sockets with the 22mm hex driven end? Do you plan on making a shorter version of that tool? I can understand if not, it is 1/2" drive after all.

As a huge tool snob, I've recently invested into your 3/8" drive (17mm) set for both metric and standard. I've also got the 10.5" on order with Amazon. I must say I enjoy using this setup more then many of my other much more expensive stuff (S/O, MAC, Koken, KTC) and that's because of the profile.

Thanks for being part of this forum and offering us this product.
