Another astro tool delivered today. Had a transit connect for a cv shaft the other day and the ball joint is built into the lower control arm. It's just a shank that goes into the knuckle with pinch bolt. I couldn't get the ball joint nub out of the knuckle. Shop was full and working outside and it was hot so I sprayed it with penetrating oil and put it back together. I've fought with others in the past, a Malibu a few weeks ago. Ordered this astro tool and a different one to try. I have the S hook to use with prybar and have used a chain with prybar but hate fighting things if there's a tool to make life easier. Will find out if this or the other tool I ordered make life easier when vehicle gets dropped back off.

They are not as thin as a non-ratcheting Craftsman tappet wrench (~3.5mm) or a Duratech super thin (3mm)
Mine are right about 5.5mm thick for the 8mm, and 8.5mm for the 19mm.
As opposed to 8.5mm for the 8mm, and 15.5 for the 19mm in my Williams reversible supercombo wrenches.
As opposed to 7.15mm for the 8mm, and 11.5 for the 19mm in my GearWrench reversible combo wrenches.

I think I like the Astro razor set.
I had been looking at the slim VIM SAR100 set. Their open ends have thicknesses:
10mm open end 5.5mm
17mm open end 7.7mm
19mm open end 8.4mm

Astro for the win, again. Spent over an hour trying to pop the ball joint stud out of the knuckle the other day in the heat. Said forget this and put it back together and ordered new tools. Ordered this astro and another kind from amazon. The other kind you use with a breaker bar and I could see it having some advantages in certain applications. Instead of being a fixed handle like the astro you can use your breaker bar at different positions. I didn't try the other one since the astro popped the stud out of the knuckle in 2 seconds and made putting it back in easy also. A few weeks ago the malibu I did I fought with lining the knuckle back up with the ball joint stud. This tool lets you put pressure on the tool with my leg and then use both hands to line knuckle up. Doesn't take much pressure to keep the control arm down so it felt very "controlled", not like it was going to slip off or anything. For 75 bucks it's well worth it to have, even if I never use it again it made this job take less then 15 minutes. Book time is 2.2 hours. But I know I'll use it again. I've been getting my *** kicked the last month so it feels good to have a job go smooth here and there.

Also, you should make a one page PDF explaining the NANO product range and ratchets. Another one page PDF explaining your compact head ratchets, so on and so forth.
Also, how come I have not seen a 1/2” drive Nano ratchet for sale on Amazon or elsewhere?
If you can spend some time merchandising your products more logically, with photos and part numbers and short descriptions, it would help tremendously.

IIRC they had a 78300 with 17/22 that didn't do great volume?
There is a thread somewhere with an Autozone? 22mm flex tool that is really close but the spring clip is offset a bit.
Honestly, I think the hellbent for 3/8 crowd probably outbuys the 1/2 buyers by a good bit.
The Nano square drive ratchets are a good basic tool and good buy.

We dont have an amazon store ourselves so no control over it as we're not a retailer. People selling under our brand can list stock on Amazon when they have it.
Though either way Amazon, as in the company Amazon, removes items from search if they are out of stock, but the landing page is not removed. That's something our website will do that Amazon.com doesnt, click Buy Product on an item page of ours and you'll be taken to that page whether they currently have stock or not. Here it is

Turns out they were out of stock, they canceled my order. Told me I can reorder in a few weeks but I'll be below the threshold for free shipping (why I ordered 3 things together) and they aren't willing to waive the shipping. Oh well, I'll order from Amazon or JDTCO.

Any chance that set will include E12/E14? Those two sizes would really help me, with Land Rover driveshafts but I can't find etorx driveline sockets anywhere.
Also, now that 78320 is out, are there any thoughts on offering expansion sets to it or individuals in more sizes? I really wish it included T20 and 4mm/5mm - I use all three of those sockets pretty often and sometimes in really cramped spaces where I wish I had a nano with outside hex

I bought one of these today for $34+tax. I'm thinking it might be useful in tight places or on smaller fasteners where the longer ratchets are unnecessary.

I have both the 11" & 18" nano ratchets in 17mm, as well a 18" 22mm.
But I decided I'd rather have reversible, so ordered both the 11" & 18" 17mm from Matco today.

Astro, any chance you can copy this set of bearing drivers? Mike(zmotorsports) has posted his set a few times and I would like one but can't justify the price of it for how little I would use it. I have your front wheel bearing kit and it's good for pressing things but the ATM set is hollow so you can press a bearing on say a pinion shaft.

As a follow up, the ratchet looks to be of good quality. When compared to a Snap-on "Dual 80" bit ratchet it definitely has more backdrag, which can be reasonably expected. The overall thickness with a bit inserted in each is the same, not factoring in the Snap-on's direction switch. In other words, it's thinner than the Snap-on by the thickness of the switch.

That one looks really nice also but about the same price as the ATM kit. Wish there was an economical set for home shop guys. If I did this everyday I would fork out the money for either of those sets. But I only have use for it probably once or twice a year. Astro has put out tools similar to other brands at an affordable price like my exhaust expander, FWD bearing kit, drum and rotor puller, and others I've bought in the last few years. Love that they give us home shop guys an option for a decent tool at a manageable price. Hoping maybe they can do it with these.I have the SKF kit at work and love it.

I agree. I would prefer two rails to stand up. The angle thing is just weird and I can't see any benefit.

You can pair Astro's 11mm / 1/4" nano ratcheting wrench with Mayhew's torx and allen bit dual drive sockets
The Mayhew socket sets aren't cheap for little 1/4" drive bit sockets but they are excellent quality and made in USA. Note that they do not have detent notches for positive retention with the 11mm ratcheting wrench, unfortunately. So you could just use any 11m ratcheting wrench to the same effect. OR you could ostensibly file some notches into them to latch into the Astro wrench.

Husky also sells a set with metric/sae hex and torx.
Had a rare bad experience with the Astro 1/4" nano ratchet 91410. The first one was locked up straight out of the packaging. Anvil and direction lever both stuck. Could be freed but would lock up again under light torque. The replacement also locked up under light torque. Nothing against Astro and I love their products, just reporting on my experience with this particular tool.

I just ordered the astro stubby so will see how it comes. Astro doesn't directly sell on amazon themselves. So the no return thing is the sellers policy and not astros.
