OP
Good idea for some. If I ever needed it, maybe I'd better stop driving.
What is MSRP for each of the cable sets?
Need you to include parts breakdown for item#826 is not shown in website.
Please help! Love this tool! Need to keep it alive.

Incidentally, I noticed your 5-1/2" Multi-Purpose Bench Vise Part No.: 9571 http://www.astrotools.com/default.aspx?toolsnum=9571&.
If it has 'gear teeth' in the swivel for positive locking like my otherwise identical Wilton 4500, it would truly be a good idea to emphasize that with pic on your website like Ken-Tool does with their vises. It would help set yours apart from run-of-the-mill vises at big box stores since theirs only have pressure/friction from the jam nuts. Having "two lockdown bolts" doesn't mean much when you have to pull really hard sideways on whatever is clamped in the vise.
I wanted a 30mm socket out of the Astro Pneumatic oil filter 78527 set. I called Tool Topia and they gave me your 800 number I called and the order was taken over the phone.
I was pleased with the shipping and price. The socket appeared to be good quality.
Who makes your jacks? Where are they made?
Just wondering, why did Astro change the warranty policy awhile back? I've lost count of how many sales went to Mayhew on hose clamp pliers because my guys didn't want to deal with Astro warranty policy.
I emailed. They said it was not covered under warranty but they would send me another anyways. Awesome!
The memo I got said that everything Astro has to be sent to Astro for warranty. My customers don't want to deal with that and go for the Mayhews most of the time now. I regularly hear at the counter when someone brings anything Astro back, the warranty guy: 'Astro? Oh sorry gotta send that back to Astro.' To where of course the customer's face turns red like someone just stomped on their toe.
I guess I'm just wondering 'why' Astro did that? Previously, we were swapping for warranty and the guys were happy.
Hey Charles, I do appreciate your presence here and especially your answering queries.
You might best slow down on posting Astro products unless somebody asks specifically or it's a completely new, innovative item.

I can understand feeling a need to bump one's thread, but sometimes it's better to just let it lie until someone posts a question or you really do have something new. Otherwise you look like you're merely advertizing.
I have a question:
Is there a website that lists the tools AND the prices?
ok, 2 questions:
or a shop in the LA area that actually carries this stuff?

I've recently been using your Cooling System Adapter kit (#78585), with pressure tester and vacuum fill device, and I wanted to say I love this kit. I've had both Stant and Snap-on pressure testers, and the versatility of this kit is much better. Very reasonably priced for what you get. This is really an awesome product.

I have a Astro Gravity Feed touch-up gun (AP-GF6) I have used to paint model airplanes with for many years. My local auto paint shop quit carrying parts for it. Can you tell me where I can buy new cups for it; or, what the cup thread size is? Disposable cups would be nice.
I also need a 1mm nozzle to go with the 1mm needle a local store found on their shelf.
How about a mtn1012 12 Piece 1/4" Drive Multi Plus Close Quarter Socket Set? Got a Matco guy looking for this but doesn't want the Mountain brand. I see your 7441, which is the closest I can seem to find to the Mountain. Is there a smaller set you offer with just the ratchet & sockets that I am missing? Thank you sir for any info you might have.
Charles;
Great to have you participating here. It takes somewhat of a thick skin given this fussy group, but in the long run, it will pay off.
Nothing there,....well thanks anyways,.....any word on that warranty question?
ooh there are plenty of distributors online that sell astro tools and plenty of distributors in the Los Angeles area.
PM me with a zip code and i will send you distributor info
I'm up in the Antelope Valley (93536). There used to be an independent tool truck that carried your stuff & also ATD, but they got robbed & that was the end of it.
Talking of which, is there a connection between Astro & ATD?
On your 90deg die grinders, are the drive gears plastic or steel? I had an Matco die grinder that had steel gears & it lasted for at least 15 years. The replacement had plastic gears & lasted barely 2 ******** weeks.

really interested in your answer to that one,.....
and my Matco guy took the 7441 x2,.....so sale over Mountain is a win for me anyday. Thanks Astro guy.

Just wanted to drop in and add $0.02. Lol. I have a set of Astro flex head flare nut wrenches. Finish is sorta satin-chrome. Not bright polish, but not the matte of say, Blue Point or Hazet. Something in between, it cleans off easily. The larger of the wrenches are 12 point, which comes in rather handy, as a lot of larger line fittings in my experience are in pretty tight areas. The flex feature has saved my **** more than once with steering rack R&Rs. Hell, for that matter, they helped pull a tight packed fuel filter. I like 'em.
These are the wrenches:

I am also interested in parts number 2134. 21 piece 3/4" drive socket set. This looks similar to the Harbor Freight stuff, but in 6 point. Can you post, or PM some details about the set? Is it available in Metric? I am hunting for stuff to work on bigger vehicles/trucks. Need impacts in excess of 32mm. Lol. Got a few other Astro products on my wish list. In time.
