I picked up the Astro Pneumatic 78205.
I picked up a few things. The long plier set, the step bits and three of the little LED lights. I love those things and I use them a lot. They are very good when I am looking closely at the finish on a vehicle.
I've never used any of your pliers. I look forward to giving them a try.

Awesome, glad you both were able to take advantage of those prices!
If there is any info i can provide regarding any of our items, do not hesitate to let me know!

I have one. What is the load rating of the 55600 workbench as a scaffold and as a bench? The description isn't quit clear on Woot.

Hey Gipraw,
I found this in my database:
WARNING: to avoid the risk of injury, do not load bench with more than 500lbs (240kgs)
it can hold me laying down![]()
Thanks ..
nice. I am trying to make sure I won't end up lying down if I use it.

Hi Charles,
I love your tools and have a fair few in my various boxes, BUT, and there always is a but, I HATE the blow molded plastic cases.
For example I've just bought the 78619 brake kit. Nice tool set, very comprehensive but its in a big red plastic case that takes up far to much real estate. For this kit I've swapped it for a small metal tool box that it all just fits in nicely and I can even keep a few other tools like my standard pad spreaders in as well.
I find that 90% of the blow molded cases go straight in the bin. The ones I keep are only for very very specialized tools and then I often take saw to them to add room for accessories etc..
I understand that some tool makers want to count the case as a "piece" when selling a 9 piece kit which is okay but make it a decent small metal case.
Either save some money and ditch the blow molded cases and use shrink wrap on card or use (and market) metal cases.
(Sorry for the rant, you're brave being here.)
Thanks,
Richard B.

Received my set of long-reach pliers from Woot today. The tools are robustly built, if rather crudely finished, though the plier jaws and side cutter seem precise enough.
On the other hand, the straight long-nose pliers exhibit deep rust pitting in the serrations, so much so that I would have walked away from this as a used tool. I've touched it up with a wire brush, but the damage is done. I don't really want to spend the time securing a replacement for what is, in the end, an inexpensive tool, but I will think hard and twice about purchasing any other hand tools from Astro Pneumatic. To find this sort of damage to a tool fresh out of a heat sealed box is disheartening at best, and at worst it suggests that they employ zero QC.
Just a heads up. YMMV.

Okay so,,,,,, how do I use it ?
Never mind.
I found a video by one of your competitors.

How often do you do the sales on woot? How do you select your product line to put on there?

I have a lot of experience with the 3" version of these backing plates. I use them on all of my pneumatic polishers. They are the most durable plates that I have found. I am very pleased with the 3" version. I will be trying the 5" soon.

Hey Charles, doesn't this reflect partially what I commented about Astro Pneumatic's shortcoming with deciding which tools to package with usable storage and what tools don't need fancy packaging. Your brake tools, which is a great product, especially considering the (low) cost of decent stuff. But whats with the thin *** blow molded case? A tad bit more effort in making sure all the adapters and pieces are held in secure instead of flopping and bouncing around everytime I take the kit anywhere. 1st world problems eh?
I'm looking to pick up your Balljoint Press plus the adapters set, I really, hope it doesn't come in the same type of thin *** blow molded case. With the weight of a balljoint press, throw in the multiple adapters... all that weight, now if stuff breaks thru the thin *** blow molded wall and crushes my ****** foot......
At least, imo, the packaging for the Cross-Beam Wrench is great. Annoying as hell trying to figure out how to store them types of wrenches. That form tray it came in solved that problem. I'll give you that. But same type of form tray used to package those universal sockets equals to wasted effort when people take the sockets and stick them on rails or trays and toss the fancy form packaging.
Where is your booth in SEMA? I musta missed you guys or was not paying attention yesterday.
