Hopefully your wireless charging solution will allow me to consolidate multiple lights into as small of a footprint as I can already do with my USB-charged lights and a multi-port charger.

This 30SL light was listed in a MAC flyer a couple months ago so I ordered one in. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and it has been awesome so far. I chose this over the 40SL simply because the 30SL has the ability to direct the light to where you need it. In situations where I don't have the ability to stick to metal, I can still lay it on something and flex the neck to direct the light.
As you can see with the way I oriented the flex neck working on a Porsche enginebay, not only am I able to direct the light to where I need to see, it's also not in my arms way.

Needing a light source behind a bumper skin, I attached the light onto the framerail then I direct the light to where I need to see (those hard to reach fasteners).
I also "wrapped" the light around the bumper rebar so that I can then direct the light to see my PDC sensor,connector and locking tabs and have both hands free.

The magnet allows for a very sturdy hold and the flex-neck can be easily manipulated, yet holds its position. If you're putting some wild bends on the flex-neck, I'd definitely use both hands as it'll probably overcome the magnet's ability to hold the base.

I ordered two of the 30SL lights and two of the 40SLmax, gave one of each to my buddy. It quickly became his favorite light, I was over to his farm this weekend and he said he lost his light...it was forgotten stuck to one of his semi's and now its gone. It must be somewhere between the farm and the elevator.

He is. That's one reason we like Astro. They spec good stuff but customer service is important too. Chris bends over backwards for us and we really appreciate it.

Impact away. Just grease the threads.
Doing a job like that with a breaker bar and ratchet is a pain. Undercar sets that are not designed for impact use and have a disclaimer really don't understand the user base very well in my opinion.
I figured that would be the case and, honestly, I would've hammered on the thing either way. Your confidence in the product has me sold though. I'll be ordering the set on Friday.

That's nice to know. I have the OTC Hub Grappler and using it with an impact crushed the cup and bent the forcing screw. NOWHERE in the manual it said that I couldn't use an impact, no warning no nothing. I had to go back to using a shop press to push the wheel bearing out and in. I got it warrantied through Bosch Automotive and they sent me a replacement but they should have stated that. I have a couple more so I just bought the 78825 from Amazon. Looking forward to using it.
Crushing or bending a cup out of shape can always happen whether you use an impact or not depending one how the cup is positioned and aligned, I guess that's what the warranty is for. But yeah the bolt and nut should always be impact rated for these types of tools
astro kit has a larger diameter bolt than lot of the kits about these days .
some of them only have 11/16-3/4 bolt and probably not a good grade and threads go or head shears off .
78825 is really well priced considering buyers benefit of better support/parts if do need it .

Plus I believe it's a Grade 8 bolt. The OTC cup feels flimsy but not sure about the bolt. I'll compare it with the Astro 78825 when it arrives.

Have y’all had any reports from diesel mechanics on the suitability of the coolant pressure tester kit for our applications? I work mainly on Cat and the newer stuff is coming with automotive style threaded caps but I’m not sure what they match up with in the automotive world
Usually amazon price wise.
Get the 3018, the 3081 is good quality but hard to see detailed readings. Or if you're not going to go over 65psi, get the 3082 if you want a dial gauge.
I would spend the extra $15 and get the digital 3018.

Considering the 1427 or 1442 rivnut setter. What's the real difference b/w these two? The 1427 comes with m10 and m12 which the 1442 does not. Can m10 and m12 anvils be purchased for the 1442?
Also, is there a SAE anvil kit for the 1427?

1442 is overall easier to use and change mandrels, comes with some rivet nuts and comes with and has more available SAE sizes.
I believe additionally 10-24 and 1/4-20 are available for the 1427 from us.

You can get the M10 directly from us, unfortunately no M12 available for the 1442. Would need a 1452 kit

I got mine a couple days ago an it smells like chinese mothballs. The bushing plates, cups and forcing screw looks robust and stronger than the OTC set I have.

It's the anti rust oil put on before packing, thinking about changing from black phosphate so as to not require it.

Is it like cosmoline? Back when I had a Snap-on distributor he said that's what they used on some of their tools.
BTW, forgive me if this has been brought up before but I was just wondering if you had any plans to market any cordless tools like impact wrenches, ratchets, etc. like Milwaukee or Dewalt have in their 12V or 18V/20V platforms? I know you have a cordless orbital polisher but that's not quite what I'm talking about.
I'm also curious if you managed to fill that position you advertised for a couple of years ago. I'm not applying but at the time it intrigued me since I believe I was nominally qualified for it. I even had the required college degree and I already live in the Los Angeles area except I'm retired, too old and, therefore, not really a good candidate.
