Astro Pneumatics

Did a search here and did not find an answer to this.....looking at a set of chisels and punches by Astro Pneumatics. I am not familiar with this co. and wondered about where their stuff is made and the general feeling about quality. I am not a pro and don't need something I can use hard every day but want it to be good stuff.

Can anyone enlighten me? This is one of those situations where Amazon sent me an email recommending these and I happened to be considering getting a new set, my current one a hodge-podge of mostly worn-out stuff I have collected over the years.

I have some Astro Pneumatic tools, and it seems to be good quality. I like the brand. I don't have anything of theirs that's junky.

to me Astro Pneumatics looks like rebranded JTC and everything from jtc made in taiwan

Astro is high end Taiwan and all of their tools i have hold up to my daily use

Astro Pneumatic sell Taiwan tools. The quality is quite good and their warranty is excellent.

I have that set it isn't bad for the money don't use them a ton mostly roll pins, light duty stuff

Astro is a solid Taiwanese brand, good value for the price.

Ditto. Astro is not a bargain basement tool. They are reasonably priced and good quality.

Just an update to my post. I received my punch/chisel set from Astro Pneumatics today, very nice collection and real good looking. I haven't used any of them yet, so I can't speak to the quality of the steel. j

However, they are Chinese made, for those who care. I myself care some, but I am keeping these and we'll see.....
