I might be thinking of the Kent-Moore GM tool that was forged aluminum. Way nicer when it's not so heavy. I helped a mechanic today use one (I believe it was Matco marked box) on a Mustang. We used an impact to get screw tight and with a 4 lb hammer banged on the screw and the ball joint jumped out of the control arm in one motion. Pressed in a Moog joint no problem with impact.

Astro kit came in yesterday and tried it out today. I wish the big clamp would have came in but it was shipped USPS and from a different vendor. The big clamp would have made stacking the pieces together a lot easier.

Nonetheless, the kit worked great and zipped out all four ball joints on a 3500 Ram without bending or having to get the torch out. I didn't have room to use my impact for the top ball joint but still came out relatively easy with a 15" ratchet.

The only thing I'm not happy about is that I bought the HF model the first time around when I could have spent $5 for a much better kit.
