So I started my shop project, it's 32 wide 44 deep. Due to the cold I decided on a real foundation. I'll start a thread on the build when I have enough progress to make it interesting, but the one thing I wanted to say is that these shops, garages, etc.... They never really look all that impressive once you have the ground prep done, or even when the concrete is poured.

It's when you have them full and need more space that they no longer really look big. :D

Put on a second and third story just for some extra space.

Thats the same line I used on wy wife :rocker:

Mine is 40x50 and gets smaller everyday. One thing that helps is that I have 14' sides and there is a large purling all the way around every 4' that runs laterally. I use those for storage and hang larger things off of them up higher .You can easily find things that way as well.

I dream of an outbuilding like this. Sadly, it's not in the cards where I live. But I can live vicariously through these threads! Enjoy the build and take lots of pictures.
