At least they have parts.

Endless rag here for years, that Harbor Freight never had available repair parts for any of their products.

Had a pair of their cheap vehicle dollies used to maneuver the boat around inside the storage garage. They worked good, but there was always a spot that was hard to get over, because the concrete joint, had heaved up about 3/4 inch. Hit it too hard one time and it bent one of the the casters and screw up bearings to where it would not even swivel. Needed to move the boat so I purchased another HF pair and scarfed a new swivel caster.

Boat is gone, but now I want 4 dollies for another project but I'm short one caster. WTF I'll check with HF support to see if one is available. An email reply next day, sure eough says a replacement caster is indeed available - but it's nearly $20 (likely plus shipping as well), through their product support.

It is what it is and I appreciate their quick response but I just bit the bullet and shelled the $50 for a whole new pair of dollies and I'll keep the rest for spares if I ever need them.

Softened the bill by giving ITC members (me) a new small tarp, two pack of the often free flashlights and a magnetic wall mounted tool holder, that I think I can use for a plasma cutter straight edge.

Moral of the story, if you need HF parts, check, maybe they can get them, even if not necessarily cheap.

I haven't needed to order any replacement parts myself yet but I hear they're pretty good at supplying them if they are listed as available. And I hear shipping is free on most replacement parts.

I've ordered parts from HF multiple times decades ago via calling customer service. Service was good and cost was reasonable, but most or all had to come from China, so it was many weeks.

Oh, I have that. I figured they send me a catalog at least. Been 3 months without anything.

I've been ITC member for a couple years now and don't recall if I've ever gotten anything snail mail from them. Perhaps, but if so not very often. All of my ITC deals/offers come though their neverending flow of emails.

Just in the past week. ...

Huh, no emails here. Not that I'd read them. I expected a catalog.

ITC discounted items only last for a few days at a time. What good would a catalog do you?
Better off they save that printing and postmark money and pass that savings on to us.

Log into HF and make sure they have your correct email and if it's right check that their emails aren't winding up in your spam folder.
Either that or you basically wasted your money on that ITC membership.

It paid for itself on a socket set. Only reason I got it.

You shouldn't have, because they stopped the printed catalogs over 3 years ago.

They finally discovered that people looked at web pages on the Internet and that they could just put all their stuff there, as well.

I bought the Omnipro 220 multi process welder with the store credit for the class action pricing lawsuit and with the ITC membership I paid about $500 for something that normally retails over $1,000 now. There is a coupon inside the Box for an accessory so now I have the spool gun for aluminum too.

I first purchased from HF in the late 90s early 00s. I've never seen or received a catalog from them. "Sale" flyers yes but those are far from a complete catalog.

Those mailers are long gone as well as full catalogs from most retailers. It's been many year since I contemplated a catalog. These days if I see/get one I'm surprised.

The only most recent sale flyers I have in the mail were from Travers & Lee Valley & that's only when I make a recent purchase. They'll send em to me for a month or two but if I don't buy anything they'll stop coming until if/when I make another purchase. MSC was the same but I haven't purchased anything from them in a while.

Since we are splitting hairs, you are correct, since even though HF themselves refers to them as that, technically. they are "flyers" and not "catalogs" which would list every product they have.

Never seen a complete catalog from them, as well, maybe they never produced one.

Dunno, they would send catalogs in the mail at my old place, and at my folks. My Dad has been buying from them since the 80s.

I get Surplus Center, Northern Hydraulics (named changed recently to Northern Tools), MSC, Uline (which I've never ordered from... like 1" thick catalog), couple logging and construction equipment outfits and auction/for sale catalogs.

What else am I supposed to read while pooping?
