Just make sure you build it right and don't cut any corners or skimp on the foundation and slab work. Everything else is less important and easier to fix if something goes wrong. Good luck.

Are you sure 14ft is wide enough to work on cars? I mean, usually when someone works on a car they want room all around the vehicle to put toolboxes, equipment, stuff like that. Call me crazy if you want, but for some reason 14ft doesn't sound like enough room to me. In any case, congratulations on the new construction. I am sure the new garage will be infinitely better than working on vehicles outside.

14ft is wide as I can legally go. Should have sold the house when I had the chance!

I Have worked in smaller! Slab is going to be 6 inches thick so we are good there. Foundation contractor knows a lift is planned. I only plan on small cars! There will be space at the end for a bench and tool chest. Sure beats the being on my back in the driveway.
