Looks just like the kobalt/harbor freight flex head ratchet which are pretty good quality IMO.

I was at Wal Mart this week and they had out the Bostitch long pattern wrenches. They seemed pretty nice. I would of liked to buy a set to try out, but how many wrenches do I need......I need more screwdrivers!

Stanley own bostitch?

To answer that question, yes, Stanley has owned the Bostitch brand since the 1980s.

Interesting that Stanley has now chosen to use a name that was once exclusively known for hand and pneumatic-powered staplers and nailers for a line of wrenches, when they're already marketing several other brands of wrenches. :willy_nil

Yep. I mentioned that in a different thread about the Bostitch tools. Not sure why they didn't stick with a well know name like Stanley.

I sometimes wonder with so many fingers in the pie why they let the Mac name suffer?

They are morons. They should keep Mac strong to compete with SO, Matco, and cornwell. And then instead of deluding all these brands by coming out with a line of hand tools with the brand name of a stapler(!), just stick with Stanley for the home/DIY market, and maybe even do a "Stanley Professional" line of hand tools for the craftsman/techs on a budget.

Because I don't think they really care about mobile tool sales. When was the last time MAC had a trully unique tool to them only, or was considered a segment leader in any item they sold. Don't get me wrong, I like Mac tools. Especially those prior to the 1990's. I just haven't seen any greatness from them lately.:dunno:

They used to have a line labeled "Stanley Professional". I have ratchet and a couple of sockets.

A bit more likely Apex (Danaher) is the largest.

Danaher doesn't own their Apex joint-venture (with Cooper Tools) anymore. They sold the Apex Tool Group to Bain Capital last October.

It's hard to say which tool conglomerate is largest, since they all own so many other product lines besides tools. Stanley reported 3 times the gross revenue of Danaher last year, but that's across both companies entire product lines, and might also include income from spinoffs or mergers.

Thanks for the correction. Please forgive my oversight. Yet Danaher kept Matco. Wonder where Matco now gets its tools?

I did look all bostitch tools, I was thought it is bostitch brand that wal mart may phase out the stanley but when I had looked at back of package and surprised that it has label a Stanley company... It got me a confused for few minutes.

Stanley sell 36 teeth ratchets but bostitch sell 72 teeth...
