Athol #2

Picked up a nice little Athol no. 2 yesterday at an antique shop in N.H. The place was loaded with wrenches. Dbe,s doe,s ,ford, indestro in sets ,new Britain etc. hope to get back there soon.

Jim: you might want to take a lot more pictures of that and post them on the main vise thread where you might get a few comments. also it looks like a bolt thru swivel, but the lip under the dynamic wouldn't allow it to swivel so i'm a little confused. hence my wanting more pictures from all sides and on the bottom when you get a chance.

my guess it's a very early 1900's made vise. great find.

Drives - it's a clamp-on vise that's missing the pressure pad. No swivel.

Jake: I guess I forgot Athol made small vises like that and the partial picture didn't show the bottom. THANKS

Yes it,s a clamp on vise sorry about the bad pic. Patented nov.14 1871 paid 37.50 for it
