Thank you! (He said, three years later)I like the old ones that were well cared for. Crisp edges, should clean up nice.
Yours is definitely the last one of the 4, based off the half oval cut-out right behind the manufacturer stamp. Thanks very much for the info. By the way, I used to have a 69 SS 396 Chevelle..
I came across this in my search for a date and based off of the foot/base design, itdefinitely is a closer match to the first two rather than the last two. It’s a bummer if they didn’t stamp a date but I haven’t found it yet, if it’s there. Ha. Assuming the first example in the pic is from the early 20’s and the second from the 40’s, I’m thinking mine is in that range. But I defer to you experts.
Thank you again!
The base of mine is nothing like the base of the 3rd and 4th. It's a 3 petal clover leaf like the first two. Plus, mine has the bench end cap like the first two. But you make a good point about that half oval cut out. The first two don't have that. Oh well, it's an awesome vise.Yours is definitely the last one of the 4, based off the half oval cut-out right behind the manufacturer stamp.
