The pictures are of my grandfathers, then dads now my Athol 643 1/2 vise. I removed the paint and rust with wire wheel, wire brush and
electrolysis tank. I originally thought of painting it with Rust-oleum Hammered Gray. Several people have suggested leaving it bare.
If I was to leave it bare, what should I coat it with. I have looked into boiled linseed oil. Can I spray it with Rust-oleum Clear? Look at
directions online for the clear but it mentioned primer.
I do like the idea of leaving it bare.
