Post a wanted ad for your missing piece on owwm.org's BOYD forum (you have to register to see the BOYD forum). I was able to get some Clausing pulley's for beer money there that are otherwise unobtainable---I know a few people have Atlas parts machines and you may get lucky and have someone help you out. It's a shame to scrap a machine over one part.
I suspect so. I had an Atlas quite a few years ago and same thing happened. Was told it was supposed to.. sacrificial piece. Needless to say the Atlas dp got dropped to 'pos' quality/design as far as I was concerned. I did end up getting a replacement part, then it happened again, and I parted out the dp. I still have the column, base and table with a grinder mounted on it. Solved my problem!
I have an Atlas Floor drill press Model 1080. I need the splined (female) spindle pully. The one I have is not splined - an aftermarket - and it wobbles. Any one know a source or parting out?
Here is a pic of the Spindle Pulley we have and the spindle shaft. We need the proper splined pully. T
Any one parting? Also any insights on removing/lubricating/cleaning replacing spindle shaft bearings? Every 50years or so they may need it?
