Atlas 2 Post Lift

Hi All,

Looking at installing an Atlas lift in my pole barn, either an Apex 10 or a PV-10P. Are there any advantages of one over the other?

Also, I was hoping to install it myself with the help of another person. The instructions show a fork lift being used. Is that necessary or can two guys unpack the lift and stand the columns up?

If you have the room the extra tall extra wide is better. Much easier to get in and out of the vehicles, especially full size trucks. I installed mine by myself but I had a gantry crane to lift the columns.

Another recommendation for extra wide / extra tall if you can fit it in. I also installed mine solo, but used a bobcat to stand up the posts. Once they were vertical it was easy to shimmy them around to their final locations.

$500 and a guy who services lifts did mine.....well work the money IMO.....

I did my pv10p with no problems, well worth the savings to me...Stood posts with tractor bucket

Something to stand them up like a cherry picker, bobcat, tractor, etc., helped a lot, but not impossible with 3 guys. As for the rest, if you have a good rotary hammer and can work on cars on a lift, you can easily DIY the install.

I stood mine up by hand. They we're on the trailer and I scooched them to the end of the trailer so 2' was hanging off the back. It was actually quite easy.

The top cross bar was the pain. Had to screw eye bolts in the cieling to lift it with a pair of cheap HF block and tackles.
