Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy the following 4 post lift kit and I am looking for some advises here if it is a good investment or not ?
http://www.atlasautoequipment.ca/atlas-garage-pro-8-000-ext-4-post-lift-two-atlas-rj-35-sliding-jacks/

The kit costs 4985 CAD + taxes and shipping
Price includes all of the following items:
- a 4 post lift with 11 positions. Max height clearance below runway 6'7''
- 2 RJ-35 Sliding Jack
- 4 drip trays
- 1 heavy duty jack tray
- a caster kit to roll the lift.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
/Jerome

I bought the big brother (14K) to the lift you are looking at. So far I'm very happy with it.

2nd Edit: Mine lifts are Atlas 8000. I bought the pair, delivered to a dock in OKC for less than $4000. Not each.

So do these not anchor to the floor? I don't understand the purpose of the castors?

I have two of these and have had no issues either, other than one wouldn't go all the way down one day....... turns out I left a creeper under there. DUMBA$$.

My wife and I installed them ourselves. Did I ever say, I am married to an angel?

I do not have the jack assy, so I cannot address its utility or quality. I am putting a two post in the new workshop, so really don't need the jack. Besides, the few times I have wanted to work on wheels/brakes, etc. I just put four large jack stands under the car and let the lift down until the wheels are off the ramps. Then I can use the ramps as work shelves while I work on brakes, etc.

They CAN be anchored to the floor. If your floor is reasonably flat, there is no need.

I have not used the castors since I installed the lifts. I did try out the castors just to see how they work. Raise the lift part way. Install the castors. Let the lift down and the castors will "lift" the lift posts off the ground (doesn't really lift, just keeps them from coming down all the way) and two people can easily roll the lift around to a new location.

I purchased my 4 post lift from GregSmithequipment.com and I think the same combo in the OP would be $4000 with free shipping at GregSmith. I couldn't be happier with my lift, best $$ I've ever spent. I have the RJ-35 jacks and they work great and are very heavy but they slide well on the runways. The rolling casters work great but never use the jack trays and just store them away. I would recommend the aluminum ramps. You'll need to have a high lift garage door as well. I used DDM Garage Door for my high lift parts and purchased my Liftmaster 8500 opener off Amazon.
