I have a Atlas No.1 arbor press that I sandblasted and repainted a couple years ago. I am going into a position where I will probably not be using it in the future and will have to sell it. It is in really good shape and works as good as it did when it was made. It is certainly a lot sturdier that the ones that are made now days. I have looked on ebay and craiglist and have not seen any for sale. Just wondering what you guys think it might be worth. I know its hard without pictures but I do not have good luck trying to post pictures. Thanks for any advice.

Does it look like this one? If so is it in as good a shape or worse shape? Rust? Mushroomed ram?

Is a press plate the same thing as a daisy wheel?
In this picture the daisy wheel is the green disc with the slots in it.

A Dake No. 1 arbor press is rated at three tons and I believe it is similar to the Atlas if not related. It is an excellent USA-made tool and if clean, not beat upon and with the anvil (slotted disc) should go for maybe $150-$300 depending on our location.

Boomer, that is a very nice job! Outstanding. Ditto Tombell's estimate. Since it's not a yuge, heavy press, you might be able to sell it on ebay--the wider the potential group of buyers the more you'll probably get for it.

Thank you for the replies. I like having it in my shop (even if it does not get used now). It is one of those hunks of iron that will last forever if its not abused. I'll think about selling it in the spring or just let it sit there and look like it's ready to do something. Thanks again for the replies.
