Atlas Balancer Microswitch Error?

I bought an Atlas balancer and it keeps giving me ERR 5, which the manual says is a microswitch error. The microswitch seems to be functioning perfectly fine. Anybody know what I should be looking at?

Nevermind. I'm a tard. Apparently you aren't supposed to open the lid until it tells you to
