I acquired this little guy a few years ago at a yard sale. Unfortunately I don't have the room, so I stored it at a friends. Just found out he's putting his house up for sale. My back is kind of against the wall, I thought I'd ask GJ what this would be worth.
I know this is not the for sale forum, but I'd like to hear what you think so I can list on craigslist accordingly priced. I still have a couple months til it has to be gone.
The Good: I only tested it a couple times, and it works. All axes have noticeable backlash wear, but not bad. It has the factory stand, which I haven't seen very many of in my research. The stand weighs I'd guess 80 lbs alone, it is heavy gage stamped steel. It has the factory 2 piece clamp vise, which is only good for light cuts. It has a 1/2" Jacobs chuck mounted. I have a bunch of additional pieces, including some spare parts, literature, the over arm support bracket, and a couple extra draw bars. Not pictured, I bought a set of MT2 collets for the machine, and also a drill press vise that could be modified to work.
The Bad: the model MIC is for a factory power feed option on the X axis, which has been removed from this machine. There was a gearbox under the left side of table with an exposed articulated driveshaft, which are the 2 parts missing (the hand crank still works for X axis). There are 2 spots where clamp studs were bottomed out in T slot and busted pieces out of table. Last time I operated machine, electric motor was surging. It is the original Atlas motor, forgot to take a pic of the tag on it. 110v.
It has flaws but totally useable. Is $600 out of line?
