Atlas PV-10P

I am about to pull the trigger in the next few weeks on a lift. I am thinking about the atlas pv-10p. I was just wondering has anyone had any experience lifting smaller cars on that particular lift. In the product description it says lifts anything from smart cars to dually pickups. I was just curious to hear from someone that has that particular lift and has used it to pick up smaller cars?

I'm interested as well. I bought a used Direct Lift Pro-V10 (which I'm pretty sure is the same lift, or very close). I haven't installed it yet, as I still need to pour my floor.

I have one and I think it's a great lift. It beats the Rotary we had at work hands down. Much heavier construction, cables and pullys are more than twice the size. It handles my 8700# 1 ton dually dump no problem.

I have the Atlas Apex 10-Plus. It's similar to the PV. I recently changed out a set of springs on a late model Nissan Altima to make it sit lower as a favor for a friend's grandson. (I can't understand why people want to lower their suspension up here where we have snowy winters ) I had no issues with this car and the Apex lift.

Have a PV10P,bought 8 years ago no issues.Ford focus to 1 ton dully.

I have installed a similar sized base-plate Atlas lift (BP-1000) in my shop.

Easy to lift PU trucks, larger sedans, and mid-sized cars (plenty of adjustment in arms). I have one smaller car (Mercedes SLK-320 : two seater) that should be lifted using the factory lift points located on along the bottom of the rocker panels. The car comes with 4 rubber lifting points permanently mounted along the bottom of the rocker panels - you can use other lift points but they are really designed with a floor jack in mind (center of differential and rear center motor carrier area).

The arms are almost too long to allow proper positioning at the lift points. It can be done but the car has to be within about 1" of perfect center position (left - right - front -rear) to get all 4 arms located on the 4 lifting pucks. Once in proper place - lifts great.

First time took some work to get car in exactly correct position - now that I know where car must be placed, it goes quicker.

Thanks for the replies. I was looking at the pv 9 lift but I was thinking for the extra 300 bucks I would just get the bigger one since it looks to be built much heavier than the 9000 lb lift.

Go with the pv10p if you can fit it. It's a beast and an awesome machine.
