Thought I would do a quick write up on two tire machines purchase from Greg Smith Equipment for the shop I work at.

We are a boat dealership and we were farming work out to a local tire shop. I talked the owner into these machines to handle our customers trailer tires and our multiple shop truck tires.

I placed the order online after doing the research so I have no feed back on phone customer service. But I did have to email back and forth with a sales representative on shipping and some accessories I ended up ordering. His name was Steve out of the TX location. He got back to all my emails within the hour and everything went through smoothly.

From placing the order to receiving the machines a little over a week from payment. I did like how you placed the order put all your payment info in and they would email you when they had the shipping calculated. You then had to confirm the order again so there were absolutely no surprises.

The machines came damage free. In my opinion they were vary well packaged and protected. Assembly was strait forward and all parts were accounted for. Machines are easy to use and not complicated to understand. We have done about 15 tires so far without a problem.

Machine combo I ordered was

Options I ordered
Wheel Adapters for doing smaller rims
http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Atlas-200-700-Series-Deluxe-ATV-Adapters
Plastic foot addapter
http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/Atlas-200-700-Series-Quick-Change-Head-Assembly_2

These two items I would say are a must have for the machine I purchased. A 14 inch rim barley fits and the plastic foot makes for a lower chance of damaging the wheels. Now if you purchased the TC229 tire machined the adapters might not be needed as often. I just wanted a bigger machine to do some of the 20 inch tires that now come on some boat trailers.

I would say after this first purchase I will purchase again from Greg Smith Equipment. I attached some pics of how the machines showed up and how they are now.

Nice to hear good news and service about a supplier.

Now just figure out a way to have the shop decide to upgrade and you can get those to use at home!

Seeing that work is only a 1/4 mile away from home I will just let them own it and I can just use it.

I agree, I have had them for a couple years now. They work great. My 315/18 race tires are a bit of a challenge but doable.

I would be interested in a 1 year, 3 year and 5 year review of the equipments performance. This is more a testament to their customer service and shipping prowess not a review of the performance of the Atlas Tire Machine. I do appreciate the review of the company however. It gives good insight about them.

This is true. I have worked with Hoffman machines and Hunter machines. This rim clamp style machine is not reinventing the wheel. All components look similar to other rim clamp style machine so I am not foreseeing any problems.
