Any ideas on this year? Value etc? Can't find much. Picked it up for $4...good buy?

Any idea on its age? Or pix of refurbished ones? Original color?

As far as color, there seems to be a number of red paint patches left. Paint it whatever color you like, as it really won't affect value. I know that may sound crass, but in the Chicago area this is what $20 worth of small vises looks like.

EK: i don't know the history of the Atlas company, but they made some very nice drill press vises and also made them for Craftsman when Craftsman tools were second to maybe nobody.

how can you really go wrong spending $4 on a working vise? you did fine even if it's not worth a benjamin.
