hey just built an attached garage and the old house soffits are now visible from inside.
My plan is to run metal panels on the ceiling, but I need a way to terminate on the existing house roof. I don't want to see a clean metal roof butted up to old shingles.
One thought was to cut away, including the rafter tails and extend the brick wall up, with brick or a knee well.
The other though was to just extend the fascia up to the truss, making a boxed soffit.
Anyone have an idea? Thanks!
