attached garage wall against house

Sorry if this has already been discussed..

I am finishing my garage and was wondering what I can do about the wall against the house. It has the house wrap on it but I would like to finish that wall as well. The problem is the light switch is already set in the wall so if I add more to it the switch would be sunk in that much further.

Any ideas?

You can always move an electrical box.

But remember there are specific code items -- like fire resistance as it relates to sheetrock -- that apply to the garage wall(s) adjacent to the living portion of the house.

Definitely 5/8 Firecode sheet rock. You can also extend the electrical box without moving it. Use one of these-
